Phoenix is a large-framed gelding, equipped with a lot of jumping genetics, an athletic foundation as well as a strong drive and energetic gaits. His sire Perigueux - a top international athlete under Eva Bitter - has undoubtedly passed on his talent in terms of ability, technique and bascule to his offspring with great success. He was awarded the Grande Prize for this in 2013. His grandsire Grey Top - also a 2019 Grande Prize winner - has proven himself in the past as a reliable sire for outstanding jumping technique with excellent willingness to perform in various matings.
